About Tanya
I was given the vision for Love in the 1st Degree in 2000 and in 2010 the ministry was birthed. That's a longggggg labor!
The Lord saved and healed my marriage, He's no respecter of persons, He'll do the same for anyone. I do this out of love for Him, not recognition for me. I do this because being married does come with a set of directions, we just fail to open the book and read the directions, and even if we've learned the Word pertaining to marriage, we don't always know how to apply it to our daily lives, for a multitude of reasons.
I'm a member of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett where Dr. Kevin B. Lee is the Senior Pastor. I currently serve as the Co-Coordinator of the BCCG Intercessory Prayer Ministry and a teacher in the BCCG School of Biblical Studies teaching on issues specific to women. I also serve as a Board Member of The Princess Project Ministries. I'm so thankful to Dr. Kevin B. Lee, Senior Pastor of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett, for allowing Berean to be the first church where the LITFD ministry was planted. I'm looking with great expectations to the wonderful things the Lord is going to do through LITFD in the lives of married women throughout the world. Last but certainly not least, I'm the wife of my awesome man of God Kevin Murphy, Sr and the mother of 3 beautiful children, Morgan, Nandi and Lil Kevin and I have a wonderful son-in-law, Morgan's husband Brandon. I love entertaining in our home and serving my family and just making things pretty!
About Kevin
Kevin is the Co-Founder of By His Knowledge Ministries and has been working in ministry with his wife Tanya for strengthing and development of Christian marriages. Kevin is the coordinator of the Chop It Up Ministry of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett, a ministry designed to give men a safe place to "chop it up" about issues that concern them. Kevin also serves as co-facilitator with Tanya in the Couples Connect Program. Kevin mentors several men in the ways of the Lord and stands as an awesome example of integrity for both married and single men. In addition to being an awesome husband and father, Kevin is an avid bowler and skater.
About Tremica
I believe that God can do anything and I have witnessed his supernatural power in many areas of my life. My marriage is a testimony, the Lord restored it after many severe challenges. I love marriage and I am so grateful the Lord has allowed me to minister in this area to so many women. I am able to share with them about "how to stay together" in the midst of adversity. I am from the Greater New Orleans area and we are trained to prepare for Hurricane season. As a child we knew that we had to stay together during the storm and not separate, simply because there is strength in numbers during a storm. The same is with marriage, I am convinced that if couples are encouraged to stay together during a storm and "ride it out" they will find that once the martial storm is over they will be stronger together than apart.
I'm a member of Berean Christian Church Gwinnett where Dr. Kevin B. Lee is the Senior Pastor. I currently serve as a licensed minister, intercessory prayer team member, facilitator of the Love in the First Degree Ministry and teacher in the School of Biblical Studies. I also am the President and Founder of "The Princess Project Ministries" and "The College Connection."
I am married to Minister David A Carter Sr., "MY BOO" and together we have a handsome son, David Carter Jr. and a beautiful daughter, Tia Carter. My favorite pass times are spending quality time with my husband and kids. I love traveling with my husband and our newest venture is purchasing a Can-Am motorcycle, wearing leather and riding off in the sunset!
